By downloading, installing, or using Scanner Buddy (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Legal Agreement: These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Scanner Buddy regarding your use of the App and its services.
2. Description of Service
Scanner Buddy is a professional document scanning and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) application for iOS devices that provides the following services:

High-quality document scanning using your device's camera with automatic edge detection and enhancement.
🔍 OCR Processing
Advanced text recognition supporting 13+ languages with high accuracy and small text detection.
📝 Digital Signatures
Create and apply digital signatures to your documents with drag-and-drop functionality.
📁 Organization
Organize documents into custom categories and manage your document library efficiently.
🔒 Security
Secure your app with 4-digit PIN protection and local encrypted storage.
📤 Export Options
Export documents as PDF files with native iOS sharing capabilities.
3. User Accounts and Eligibility
3.1 Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
- You must have a valid Apple ID to download and use the App
- You must comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws
3.2 Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Apple ID
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Subscription Services and Payments
4.1 Free Trial
Scanner Buddy offers a 3-day free trial for premium features. The trial is automatically activated when you first use the app and is limited to one trial per Apple ID.
4.2 Premium Subscription
After the trial period, continued access to premium features requires a paid subscription available in monthly billing cycles.
4.3 Free Version Limitations
- Limited to 3 document scans per day
- No access to signature creation features
- No access to OCR (text recognition) features
- No app lock functionality
4.4 Payment Terms
- Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's App Store refund policy
4.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Price changes will not affect existing subscriptions until renewal, and you will be notified in advance of any changes.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
5.1 Permitted Uses
- Scan and digitize your own documents and papers
- Create digital archives of personal or business documents
- Extract text from documents for legitimate purposes
- Create and apply digital signatures to your documents
- Export and share documents you have scanned or created
5.2 Prohibited Uses
You may NOT use Scanner Buddy for:
- Scanning copyrighted materials without permission
- Creating fraudulent documents or signatures
- Violating any local, state, national, or international laws
- Scanning sensitive documents belonging to others without authorization
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code
- Circumventing usage limits or security features
- Using the app for any commercial purposes beyond personal/business document management
6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 App Ownership
Scanner Buddy, including all software, features, content, and technology, is owned by us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Your Content
- You retain all rights to documents and content you create using the App
- Your scanned documents, signatures, and created content remain your property
- We do not claim ownership over your personal documents or data
6.3 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or business purposes in accordance with these Terms.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
Local Data Processing
Scanner Buddy is designed with privacy-first principles:
- Local Storage: All your documents are stored locally on your device
- No Cloud Upload: Your documents are never uploaded to external servers
- Encrypted Security: Sensitive data is encrypted using iOS security features
- Private OCR: Text recognition is performed entirely on your device

8. Disclaimers and Limitations
8.1 Service Availability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or that it will function without interruption or errors.
8.2 OCR Accuracy
While we strive for high OCR accuracy, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy in text recognition. Users should verify important text extractions manually.
8.3 Device Compatibility
The App requires iOS devices with camera functionality. Performance may vary based on device capabilities and iOS version.
8.4 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS.
9. Data Backup and Loss
Important: Data Backup Responsibility
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
- You are responsible for backing up your important documents
- We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, deletion, or other issues
- Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all stored documents
- We recommend regularly exporting important documents

- Refunds and subscription management through Apple's systems
10.2 RevenueCat
- Subscription management and analytics through RevenueCat

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by:
- Uninstalling the App from your device
- Canceling your subscription through your Apple ID account settings
